Words cannot express the deep deep love and gratitude I have for You.  I want to live up to the standard you have given me.  We are one my Lord, we are one.  I say it over and over again.  It is overwhelming not only to say it, but to experience it as well.  Not just longing for it but to live it.  Perception becomes knowledge.

Thank you for being my role model.  What was it like to go forward alone?  What was it like to stand in front of the government and be condemned?  You believed in something so strongly that you were willing to endure the humiliation and pain.  I used to wonder that if you knew something was going to happen (such as your death), why would it be a difficult thing to endure?  You knew what was going to happen, but even so, you had moments of fear, of doubt, of hope of something different maybe?  But I have learned from my own sacrifice that knowing a death was inevitable didn’t make it easier to go through.  It was still gut wrenching and heartbreaking.

Thank you for the example of your life.  Thank you for standing tried and remaining true, a symbol of strength and security.  Thank you for not caving in to fears.  I shudder to think what the result might have been had you tried to save yourself in the end.

We share the same Father, thanks to you.  You are my saviour, my friend and my big brother.  I love you.  Since you are in me, make what is mine yours, for you have made all that is yours mine.  In you, with you and through you can I truly live.  Shine Lord Jesus, shine!
